Due to the crucial functions of the building envelope, it is vital that the facade contrator has input at programming stage due to lead times etc. The envelope not only weatherproofs, but creates junction details internally, which can delay finishes to a floor/section.

It seems that they prioritised this activity on this building, as the facade framework was being fixed when the concrete frame was still under construction. This was emulated on the new office development on the east side of the CTICC as well
